Henning Haupt

Henning Haupt is an artist and educator. His work explores spatial qualities within drawings, paintings and three-dimensional installations in close relation to color materials and application techniques.

Haupt’s recent solo-shows are Farbe und Raum at Wenzel Hablik Museum, Germany 2016, Drawing Lines—Making Space at Coral Springs Museum of Art, 2014 and The Return of the Magenta at The Projects, Fort Lauderdale, 2012 and Young at Art Museum, Davie, 2013.

Haupt’s mural for DHMP is very unique as he uses clear laquer and pigments to mix his own colors for painting. This results in a transparent paint medium and the result is an almost watercolor-like textural mural.
