Hot Topics Discussion Series: Dan Cameron
Reception 5pm, Lecture 6pm • Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, 1650 Harrison Street
This event includes a reception for guests to meet Dan Cameron, lecture, and a Q&A period. Dan Cameron was recently named Chief Curator at the Orange County Museum of Art, Newport Beach, California and was the Founder and Artistic Director of Prospect New Orleans, a new international biennial that debuted in November 2008 at two dozen sites and attracted more than 45,000 visitors over 11 weeks. Cameron also served as Director of Visual Arts for the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans. From 1995 to 2006, he was Senior Curator at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York.
Tickets: $10 non-members; $5 members, students, teachers, and seniors (with ID) per lecture. Price includes donation bar and snacks/hors d'oeuvres.
After-Party Host Sponsorships: An intimate after-party dinner is held with each speaker at a variety of Hollywood vicinity fine dining establishments. Each dinner occurs held immediately following the lecture.

Poor old Granny can't tell you her favorite fairytales because someone is stealing the fairytale props! Bread crumbs, magic beans, a basket of goodies, and a glass slipper are all missing! Fairy tale characters are confused and blaming each other. The future of the fairy tale world is at stake and it is up to the title character to set things right. Gordon Gumshoe, Fairy Tale Detective, is out to solve his toughest case ever. With detective reasoning, Gordon sets out to locate the Mysterious Figure who's been pilfering all the props! Join us for plenty of audience participation and lots of laughs for junior detectives.
Fantasy Theatre Factory is a touring children's theater company based in South Florida. Fantasy Theatre is dedicated to creating original quality theater programs for children and families of all cultures and backgrounds. Fantasy Theatre is a touring company, traveling throughout Florida, the Southeast and internationally to theaters, schools, fairs, libraries, and outdoor festivals. This performance is part of the Center's 2012 Family Performing Arts Season.
Adults: $5 non-member, Youth (12 and under): $3 non-member. Members: Free. Tickets may be purchased at the box office 45 minutes prior to showtime. All seats are general admission.
